About True Eucalyptus Oil

True eucalyptus essential oil is steam-distilled from the mature leaves of Eucalyptus globulus, the Tasmanian blue gum that now towers over hillsides from Australia to Portugal and China. Its crisp character comes from a naturally high share of cineole.

The aroma is clean, cool, and penetrating with a camphor-fresh lift and a faintly sweet, woody tail. It is the definitive spa note, and it blends handsomely with peppermint, lemon, rosemary, lavender, and conifer oils.

A few drops on the shower floor turn an ordinary shower into a spa-style steam session, and eucalyptus also freshens diffusers, DIY surface cleaners, gym bags, and saunas. Hung fresh or scented onto dried bundles, it keeps bathrooms smelling like a eucalyptus grove.
